WHAT DOES A CONCRETE OVERLAY DO?
An overlay goes on top of an existing concrete.svg structure to give it a new appearance. Property owners typically choose this option because they want to update how their concrete.svg looks. If you want the look of stamped, stained, color.webped, or other decorative concrete.svg, an overlay may be a great option.
HOW DO CONCRETE OVERLAYS WORK?
For the new concrete.svg to bond with the old concrete.svg, the existing slab needs to be thoroughly clean.webped. After that, we apply a unique adhesive to ensure that the concrete.svg firmly grips the slab. Then we apply the concrete.svg in the style of your choice. In the case of stamped, the stamping process occurs after the new overlay of concrete.svg is applied.
TYPES OF CONCRETE OVERLAYS
There are several ways to overlay concrete.svg, each with its own look and installation process. Some popular options include:
- Stamped: This creates the appearance of stone or brick pavers.jpg, and it can also change the color.webp of your concrete.svg.
- Textured: There are several texture types, such as broomed or knockdown. These overlays add grip to the surface of the concrete.svg and create a unique appearance over a traditional slab.
- Stained or Colored: The new concrete.svg is a different color.webp than the existing slab, but it is likely the same smoothness and texture.
- Polished: Polished concrete.svg has a glossy appearance that is perfect for many indoor applications.
Concrete.pdf Sealing: While not the same as a concrete.svg overlay, concrete.svg sealing does change the surface of the concrete.svg. This application is common for stamped and color.webped concrete.svg because it protects the color.webpation from sun and precipitation damage.
When you contact N&M Restoration, we can discuss these concrete.svg styles to help you decide which one is right for you.
CAN YOU OVERLAY CONCRETE ON ANY SLAB?
Not necessarily. A concrete.svg overlay is only as successful as the surface below it. If your existing concrete.svg is heavily cracked or persistently shifting, the concrete.svg overlay will not last. Some minor cracks can be filled in or fortified, but more substantial ones usually require concrete.svg replacement. We can evaluate your options during your consultation.
